My day at work was brighter because of this

Day 1: I picked Peonies with one of my clients at the place she lives.

Day 3: They are much prettier and smell amazing. Wonderful what a little water will do for flowers!

I love my new job and am so thankful for the change of pace from my other job. This one has its ups and downs as do all jobs, but it's a great environment and wonderful people to work with. I love the chance I get to help people deal with their mental illnesses. It is such a real thing and helping someone make it through life, successfully, with one is the challenge and I get to help!

My hubby is finally here (after two too long weeks on a job in Idaho). Life is feeling good and bright. It's so nice when you take a step in the dark (moving to ND), and the SUN just shines so bright a few days later! Literally and figuratively. All this rain in North Dakota is scary. We are okay where we are at, but the town just 2 hours from us (Minot) evacuated 12000 people a couple days ago. It's sad, but we are doing all we can to help when we can.

We are doing great and we're happy we followed that still small voice, it always leads us to the light!

Homeowners!

Welcome to 2909 Sunflower Drive! Our First Home!

So we became Homeowners right when we got married and it was fabulous! I loved our cute little house on Sunflower Drive. It had a lovely yard and was just the right size, not too big, 3 bedrooms. I decorated my kitchen with Strawberries and Lemons (thanks to Sam Bowen) and my hubby built the beautiful pergola over the back patio because it got so hot last summer. He's so talented! So this was our humble abode for a little over a year....didn't think it would only be that long.

AND now.....our first little home is SOLD. Yup, crazy! Bought and sold it already. Movin on to greener pastures or....snowyer fields?? yup...NORTH DAKOTA!

Welcome to 923 13th Ave West, Williston, ND

Kitchen BEFORE (pretty plain jane, too white for me)

Kitchen in STAGE TWO (painted cabinets and walls)

Phase 3 is coming...Hubby is doing granite counters and tile backsplash!

Bathroom before and after soon to come also (after Hubby's handiwork!)

And this is our new place. It was built in 1952 with the original metal cabinets in the kitchen...which I painted because the white was terrible.

And that's that! We really are pleased with it, seeing as how we purchased it without ever physically viewing it!!

That's why we are in Williston, ND. Great job opportunites for Wade and I, but because there are SO many jobs, there are thousands of people flocking here, but there is no where to live. Hence why we purchased our home without physically seeing it. It was a for sale by owner, we saw, we called, we bought! Pretty slick, not really, but it all worked out!

We are probably the only one in our ward who found and purchased a home (being newbies to the area) everyone else lives in 5th wheels or hotels (if they are lucky enough to get into one) or they pay $2000 a month for a tiny apartment! No joke! it's outrageous.

But on a side note, I feel pretty grown up already having bought my 2nd home!

Crazy being a grown up!

The Hanson family was formed! Let the adventures begin!

Well we've been the Hanson's now for 1 year and 2 months! It has been the best year of my life! I am so grateful for these two new additions to my life! I love my husband so much and didn't realize married life would be this good!

What a gift to have him in my life and the best is the added bonus....a daughter! Autumn is a sweetheart and I am lucky to have been sealed to her on the day of our wedding, April 10, 2010. I am so privileged to be her mom! I love them both dearly and it is because of them that my life goes in the direction it does. I'm so thankful that familes can be together forever! I love them!
